The bassoon seat strap hooks onto the bottom of the bassoon using the eyelet / loop on the bass of the bassoons boot joint (If you don't have this eyelet this product won't be work with your bassoon, please instead look at the following seat strap which can be used on any bassoon Kolbl Leather Seat Strap, Boot Cap).

The design of a seat strap allows the weight of the bassoon to be supported by the seat strap and your right leg. This means that there is minimal weight on your shoulders, neck and back. The great reduction in weight taht a bassoon seat strap enables reduces any strain an tension put upon yourself and allows you to play freely at your best.

German made with genuine leather

The bassoon seat strap is made with genuine leather, thick nylon thread and a plastic coated metal hook. These quality materials all hand-made in Germany ensure that the seat strap can endure a lot of wear and tear.

Position of bassoon adjustable

You can move the bassoon further away from your body when using a bassoon seat strap. This allows you to pick the ideal position for your body and instrument, again reducing any unnecessary tension.

Music conservatoires recommend bassoon seat straps

Many conservatoires / music colleges recommend the use of a seat strap due to the reduction in strain and tension when playing

Very happy with my seat strap

Once I had managed to get the hook through the hole (it took a while), everything thing was perfect. A nice quality strap which did exactly what it's intended to do (and allowed me more movement than my spike).

Sit on it and forget it

It like the seat strap better than the neck strap as my upper body is now freer to move.

Does the job

This strap is good value for money - the only problem I had with it is that the hook is quite thick and though it fits through the hole (I have an Amati Bassoon) it is very tight and therefore doesn't move freely once through.
