Surprisingly good value!

I am particularly impressed with this cane considering the low price point. The density and hardness of the cane is on par with some of the more expensive brands and so far it's scraping up buttery smooth. Does seem to require a long and thorough soak to help avoid cracking. The only reason I took one star off my review is that the gouge is a little inconsistent, with some pieces visibly thicker than others. However the cane is still very workable and I will certainly consider buying more in the future. I might recommend it for advanced students or professionals seeking power and projection in their reed making.

Oboe Cane

It may be too early to give a complete review. So far I have been able to scrape a couple of reeds. I appreciate that this is high quality cane and the value is decent compared to other providers. I would have liked a thinner gouge; it takes a bit more effort for me to scrape the tip thin enough. All in all, I would seriously consider purchasing the Prestige cane again.

Prestige Oboe Cane

I find the cane a little on the brittle side and split easily. However, for the price, it is perhaps not so bad if you only want cheaper cane for the lower grades. Not one I would choose for advance or professional playing.
