Orders ship once a week. Delivery times below count from the day of dispatch and are estimated delivery timeframes. Checkout shows the exact charge before you pay.

Saver or Tracked?
Saver is the cheaper option for smaller orders. It is untracked: there is no delivery confirmation and nothing to check while it is on its way, and it takes longer. Tracked shows progress along the way and arrives sooner. If it matters to you to know where a parcel is, choose Tracked.
UK Standard is a delivery confirmation rather than tracking: the Royal Mail barcode confirms delivery once it happens but usually shows nothing beforehand, so no scans in transit is normal. Where a number exists, check it on Royal Mail's own site: royalmail.com/track-your-item
United States — duties and import taxes are paid at checkout
We ship to the United States on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis. US import duties and taxes are calculated during checkout and shown to you there as a separate line item, and we pay them to the US authorities on your behalf. There is nothing further to pay when your parcel arrives — no bill from the carrier, no handling fee at the door, no parcel held until you settle something.
The United States suspended its $800 de minimis duty exemption on 29 August 2025, which is why duties now apply to orders of any value. Collecting them at checkout is how we keep the total you pay predictable. If you cancel or return an order, the duties and import taxes collected at checkout are refunded along with it.
Customs, duties and taxes — everywhere else
Orders sent to destinations other than the United States — including the EU, Canada, Australia and New Zealand — may be charged import duty, local taxes and a carrier handling fee on arrival. These are set and collected by the destination country and its carriers. They are the customer's responsibility, they are outside our control, and we cannot refund them. We are not able to under-declare the value of a parcel or mark it as a gift.
If a parcel has not arrived
An order is not treated as lost in the post until at least 15 working days (UK) or 25 working days (rest of the world) have passed from the due delivery date. Add a further 5 working days around major holidays or during severe weather. Once that point is reached we will provide a replacement or a full refund.
Please check with neighbours and any usual safe place first, and check that the delivery address on your order is right.
Knives and other bladed items
Parcels containing a reed knife, blade or any other bladed article are marked as such and must be handed to a person aged 18 or over. They will not be left in a safe place or with a neighbour, so please make sure someone will be in.
Changing a delivery address
If your order has not shipped you can change the address yourself at crookandstaple.com/edits. Once an order has been dispatched we cannot redirect it.
