Understanding the Oboe Reed by Graham Salter, with an American contribution by Elaine Douvas & Linda Strommen is packed full of detailed information accompanied by explanatory images. Included are 115 superb coloured images of reeds of great oboists from Antonoi Paculli to Guy Legere along with 82 interviews, measurements, techniques & philosophies of these great musicians. An amazing reference and a fabulous gift for the oboe connoisseur.
Book is mostly fine, but came in with the cover peeling a bit. Spine and everything else is in good shape.

Dear Rudy,
This book is packed with oboe info/joy! We love this book, it really is an interesting read and we're glad to hear you've benefitted from it.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
Happy oboeing!
Best wishes,
Eliza @ Crook & Staple
Although very pleased with the quality of your reed, I was not happy at having to pay 13 euros in customs charges to my local post office. Maybe you can find a way around this.
I love these cor reeds! Would highly recommmend, very reliable.
I really like using Crook & Staple for reeds and accessories, another batch of great cor reads which work brilliantly without tweaking! Very reliable when playing and rich tone. The wooden cor reed case I got last year is definitely the best case by far (and I've tried a few), reeds fit securely without risk of bashing edges etc
I found the placement for the order easy to use on the website, quick and efficient order confirmation. I was happy with the speed of the arrival and the items were well packaged and secured. The reeds were for my daughter who only started using one if them yesterday. She mentioned the sound was good and she anticipates it will improve as she continues to play her bassoon. Thank you for your great service.
Have tried it a couple of times. Appears to do exactly what it claims - is very comfortable, easy to assemble and takes some of the strain off my thumb, hand and wrist, without getting in the way.
I was recommended these reeds and they haven’t disappointed. Lovely tone and great in the lower range. Looking forward to seeing how they progress and settle in.
